With a keen eye for detail and a deep understanding of both beauty and function, Grace has been the driving force behind the Swiss Lace+ Collection, working to create a line of wigs that blend beauty, comfort, and performance. In this Q&A, she shares the inspiration and vision behind this groundbreaking collection.

What inspired you to create the Swiss Lace+ Wig Collection?

Swiss Lace+ is known for its exceptional quality and natural appearance. Its delicate lace material is breathable and secure, giving wearers both confidence and comfort. I was surprised that there were not more lace front wigs utilizing this specific type of lace material! So, I began the process of creating a collection solely focused on utilizing the amazing benefits of Swiss Lace+.

How long have you been in the process of creating this new collection?

This new collection has been over a year in the making! Typically, creating new styles takes almost a year from conception to production. However, this collection goes beyond introducing four new styles; it utilizes a new type of lace. This innovative lace required an extended period of sampling and testing to ensure every detail was considered and addressed. As such, we dedicated extra time and effort to perfecting this collection.

How did you come up with the different styles in the collection?

With each new collection, my goal is to push the boundaries of cap constructions, styles, and textures. I’m particularly excited about this collection because it offers an extraordinary range of looks. Whether you’re drawn to long, flowing tresses or sharp, chic short cuts, soft, romantic waves or sleek, straight layers, and styles that span from classic elegance to modern edge—this collection truly has it all. Each piece is designed to cater to diverse preferences and personalities, ensuring there’s a perfect match for every individual.

What sets the Swiss Lace+ Wig Collection apart from other wigs?

I didn’t know much about Swiss Lace+ beyond the fact that it felt softer and even more comfortable against the skin than standard lace. When I learned the technical side of Swiss Lace+, I began to understand why it is truly innovative. The construction of Swiss Lace+ begins with nylon threads that are 50% thinner than standard lace. This finer lace is woven to create a honeycomb structure with multiple overlapping areas. In contrast, standard lace is arranged in a grid pattern and then welded at the points of overlap by a machine, which can make it less flexible. Because Swiss Lace+ is not welded, it remains exceptionally soft and adaptable. This soft texture reduces irritation and discomfort against the skin and also helps the lace to conform well to the shape of your head, making it even more comfortable and natural!

On the left, Swiss Lace+ features honeycomb pattern that is tied together for improved comfort, a more natural hairline, and superior fit. On the right, traditional lace shows the classic design with less flexibility and comfort.

Can you talk about your personal experience testing out this new collection?

I personally tested out the Swiss Lace+ Collection by wearing the style, Shai for a week. I really enjoyed wearing a longer style for me, as I am usually a pixie girl. I went to work, ran errands, worked out, and went about my day wearing Shai. I was surprised by just how breathable and light the lace felt compared to traditional lace. It was so comfortable, and there was no itching or irritation, which was crucial because I wore Shai the entire day for seven days!!  The lace was incredibly soft and smooth, and seamlessly blended in with my skin tone.

I was so surprised by the strength of Swiss Lace+. Because it feels softer and finer than traditional lace, I was concerned that it would not hold up as well. I was worried about it fraying, stretching or becoming overly delicate. Despite its delicate appearance, it held up extremely well against the stress of wear, maintaining its integrity!

What’s your favorite style in this collection?

Pixie styles are usually my go-to favorite, so I was surprised to find that Shai ended up being my top pick from the collection! I love how Shai manages to combine simplicity with an effortless, sophisticated feel. The clean lines and natural movement give you the versatility to go from laid back to polished, making it ideal for any occasion. Shai is the perfect go-to for anyone who wants something stylish without the fuss. She’s definitely become my favorite, and honestly, it’s easy to see why – sometimes less really is more!

Cathe is a trusted voice in the wig community, known for her popular YouTube, Instagram, and blog, @thisproagestyle. In this Q&A, she shares her personal experience with the Swiss Lace+ Collection and the remarkable difference it’s made in her wig wearing journey.

What was your experience wearing Swiss Lace+ for the first time?

My experience wearing Swiss Lace+ for the first time was being impressed at how comfortable the wig was. Overall, I’m comfortable in wigs but the Swiss Lace+ is exceptional. It isn’t hard nor ever itchy. The cap is more flexible and in the warmer weather, the lightness of the lace really makes a difference. In addition, it molds more to your head.

Wig wearers who haven’t tried Swiss Lace+ definitely should give it a try. One of the concerns I always hear regarding wigs is the lace is itchy. Or hard. Or that the cap does not oftentimes “fit” right. Swiss Lace+ is going to give a more molded fit that can look more natural—especially where the parting space is and can be located, depending on one’s preference.

How has Swiss Lace+ changed your wig wearing experience?

Swiss Lace+ has changed my wig wearing experience as much as when I arrive home from a full day of being at work, or out and about—even flying internationally, I’m not in a hurry to rip the wig off my head. It’s almost like I am forgetting I’m wearing a wig.

...when I arrive home from a full day of being at work, or out and about—even flying internationally, I’m not in a hurry to rip the wig off my head. It’s almost like I am forgetting I’m wearing a wig."

What do you want other wig wearers to know about Swiss Lace+?

For other wig wearers—especially those who prefer a basic cap. Try the Swiss Lace+. Even if you just purchase one and use it for special occasions such as a wedding or social event. Nobody will ever detect you are wearing a wig. I also think other wig wearers should invest in a Swiss Lace+ wig for vacation and travel. If you’re in a very hot climate, the lightness of the cap will be a pleasure and if you’re in a colder climate, since the cap is more flexible, it’ll be more comfortable when wearing a hat.

Will you ever go back to standard lace?

Will I ever go back to wearing standard lace? That’s a great question because I love my wigs and I have many. I take great care of them too so I’ve had many for a few years. Moving forward I would definitely start wearing the Swiss Lace+ more often as I purchase new wigs. But a lot depends on budget. I know some women prefer basic wig caps to lace front so there is always something for everyone. But, speaking for my personal preference, I’ve always preferred lace front so the Swiss Lace+ is definitely on my radar.
